How To Clean and Maintain a Muffin Pan?
Here are a few tips to clean a muffin pan:
Read carefully for instructions related to dishwashers. If it’s not dishwasher safe, wash it with a mild detergent, a soft sponge, and some warm water.
Determine what the pan is made from before washing it.Make sure you’re following the washing instructions specific to the tray’s material.
For non-stick muffin tins, always allow it to cool before cleaning to keep the coating intact.
When deep cleaning the muffin pan, use mild soap, baking soda, and water to clear out all the grease and residue instead of using strong, damaging chemicals, which will damage the non-adhesive energy of the coating,
Dry it with kitchen paper and put it back to the oven,212℉ / 100℃,bake for 5-10 minutes
Use wooden, silicone, or plastic utensils with the tray as steel spoons can scratch the non-stick layer.
Before use:
Rinse with a sponge dipped in mild dishwashing soap and clean it,then towel dry thoroughly.
Add a small amount of butter to a cold pan, bake at 250℉ / 120℃ for 3 minutes, take out and wipe with kitchen paper before using.
